All of our breeding dogs are x-rayed and certified clear of hereditary joint disease.  The x-rays are evaluated by a Board Certified Radiologist at the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals.  We also have their eyes cleared annually by a board certified Veterinary Ophthalmologist.  We use tests accepted as valid by the Veterinary association and community available to us as breeders to insure that we are breeding dogs are are free of health problems.

However, we, like all other reputable breeders, are still at the mercy of the unseen genetic makeup of dogs and therefore cannot guarantee against diseases over which we have no control.  Having said that, we at Mtn Meadow Labradors only breed dogs that are free of genetic disorders and make every attempt to improve the wonderful breed.  Environment, food, weight and exercise also have a significant role in the development of dysplasia and these are things we have no control of.

We have two exciting litters.   Please click on the pictures of the parents (below) to learn more about them.

We will have puppies available in July, 2014 and another litter in August.  Please call for more information.

Now and then we have an older puppy or adult available.  We keep the puppies we feel are show potential puppies and for one reason or another not all of these puppies will make the final cut.  These puppies are socialized and make wonderful family companions.  Some people find that getting an older puppy or adult is easier than going through the “puppy stage” and this is a great option.  For availability please call me.  All of our puppies and dogs are placed in approved homes only.

Make sure to check out our Photo Gallery to see some pictures of our puppies.

Correct Way to Choose a Puppy

(a little humor)

A dog doesn’t care if you’re rich or poor, clever or dull, smart or dumb.  Give him your heart and he’ll give you his.  How many people can you say that about?  How many people can make you feel rare and pure and special? How many people can make you feel extraordinary?”
